Leaked photos of the xiaomi redmi 5 have surfaced online on China’s Weibo, showing the design and specifications of the soon to be released smartphone.
The Xiaomi Redmi 5 will come in two variants (chipset+RAM) – one will have a Snapdragon 625 with 2GHz CPU and 3GB of RAM and the other with Snapdragon 630 clocked at 2.2GHz packing 4GB RAM. Storage will be 16GB/32GB for the 3GB variant and 64GB for the 4GB variant. They will both come with the option of microSD expansion and dual-SIM support.
The Redmi 5 will sport a 5-inch 1920x1080px IPS LCD, a 16MP rear camera and a 5 MP front shooter.
Under the hood is a 3,680mAh battery, which is a bit smaller than the Redmi 4’s 4,100mAh unit.
The device will run MIUI 9.0 on top of Android 7.1.1 Nougat OS.
The prices for the Redmi 5 are quite pocket friendly too. The device might be priced for about N36,000 for the 3GB RAM /16GB variant , N39,000 for the 3GB RAM /32GB ROM variant and N48,000 for the 4GB RAM/64GB variant.
